Memorial Day

Flags commemorate memorial day at Spring Canyon cemetery near Grand Coulee Dam. May, 2009

I made this image at Spring Canyon cemetery during Memorial Day weekend. We were camping at Sun Lake State Park and spent some time exploring around Grand Coulee Dam and Lake Roosevelt. This scene was a strong reminder about what this holiday is really about.
