A literary landscape

A  literary landscape that reminds me of a Steinbeck novel. Palouse farm country, January 2013

This scene made me think of the depression era. The collapsing farm and the barb wired fence give evidence that someone homesteaded there long ago. On a frigid January afternoon I was there to bear witness to this scene that reminds me of the FSA photographs from the depression era and Steinbeck’s novel The Grapes of Wrath.
