Turnbull

Posted on May 27, 2023May 27, 2023

This morning Sarah and I got up early and went to breakfast out in Cheney at a place called Bene’s. They specialize in Eggs Benedict in many varieties. We always enjoy our breakfast there. We celebrated the unexpected treat of being together on a weekend that I was supposed to be out of town. My trip got cancelled due to a funeral. We had mimosa’s with our coffee and breakfasts along with a side of toast with their home made strawberry freeze jam.

After breakfast we decided to drive over to the Turnbull to take in the birds. We saw blue birds, red winged black birds, eastern and western kingbirds, killdeer, geese, coots, and redhead ducks. It was gray and damp and a beautiful way to spend the morning prior to getting back to the studio for a documentary film interview.

I made this image of a solitary duck during another visit to Turnbull back in April.

Have a great Saturday!
