I guess I am going down memory lane today as I came across this image taken off of Gaffey Street in San Pedro where I grew up as a young child. We lived within walking distance of the Port of LA. The port is the number one container port by volume in the United States and the western hemisphere. The cranes in the background are a powerful testimony to this. Palm trees, and cranes define the landscape of San Pedro in my mind.
