Persistence

God is the experience of looking at a tree and saying, “Ah!”

I came across this tree at Prevost Harbor on Stuart Island. I was struck by it’s unusual angle and curvature compared to the other upright trees. It was as if the tree was yearning to reach across the bay to the sunshine.

This tree had adapted to external forces with an internal will to survive. I think there is a lesson to be learned in seeing the external markers of internal persistence.
