I made in the winter of 2018 while on a field trip with one of my classes in downtown Spokane. I think pointing a camera at a person on the street is my way of honoring them. This guy came out of his apartment wearing furry animal slippers and it made me smile. I had to ask him if I could make a photo. He seemed grateful for the acknowledgement and said yes. His dog was shy and I think that actually made the photo better!

My camera opens the door to many wonderful interactions in my community.
