After Groundhogs Day

This year Pauxautawney Phil predicted six more weeks of winter. I had predicted a late winter this year due to the late arrival of the la nina weather pattern. Sure enough, just a couple of weeks after we made the official shift from el nino to la nina we had our first cold snap with significant snow in the lower elevations. It was -8 degrees this morning as I headed into campus. I shot a quick roll of Arista 400 film so I could do a film development and printing demo. I chose this image to make a print from because it highlighted the fact that I will have to wait longer to get out and enjoy our patio.
