Burnt Toast Scene 6

Posted on

Today I’ve been working on a rough cut edit of a scene I filmed a couple of weeks ago from a script I wrote titled Burnt Toast. I haven’t decided on the final music and I am not done color grading or adjusting the clips to make them appear seamless. It is always challenging to ensure continuity when including natural daylight because it takes so many hours to shoot one scene from multiple camera angles. We spent just over 4 hours filming this one scene.

I had a great crew helping me of first and second year filmmaking students. Two of my students are doing an independent study on how to be an assistant director.

I am especially grateful for my exstremely talented actors Craig Rickett and Ashley DeMoville. It is so magical to see words I have written come to life through performance. I look forward to a few more days of filming ahead to complete this film.
