Today I am simply phoning it in. I had a full day of filming two interviews, teaching a class, and coordinating hospice resources. I had an evening to relax with my wife over dinner at our local restaurant spot we always default to. I am too tired to write anything significant but I do feel at peace and satisfied with the day.
I made this cell phone photo as I left campus and walked towards my car. The light was at an angle that created an interesting long shadow of this leaf. The dead leaf looks like a flower on top of a shadow plant if you view it sideways. Anyway, it was a satisfying moment.
Now it is late and the Great Horned Owls are hooting up a storm in the fields next to the house. It’s like they are singing a celebration that things are settled for now and we can head out of town for a much needed long weekend of rest and reconnection.
Peace,
Ira
