Wes Anderson Colors

Posted on April 3, 2024May 24, 2024

Over the weekend I went on a motorcycle ride that took me through Endicott Washington. This scene reminded me of colors I had scene Wes Anderson use in his movies. After coming home I actually took the images and projected them on a screen and rephotographed them from different angles to play with image distortion. I found it a really interesting exploration of optics and distortion. I suppose it was a great way to ignore the tinge of sadness for how this once thriving community was now basically a ghost town. The cafe was closed, the food center was closed and there was nobody around.
