May Highlight Reel

Posted on May 26, 2026May 28, 2026

I put together a highlight reel of clips I have been filming for a long term feature documentary project I am directing. It has been a whirlwind month of filming experiences. I have needed to learn how to use a drone as a cinematic tool and I have had to learn how to direct a drone pilot to realize my vision.

Perhaps the most meaningful experience of the month was the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Salish School of Spokane location along the Spokane river. I also got to witness children releasing salmon fry into the headwaters of Hangman Creek some 65 miles away from the confluence with the Spokane river. Salmon and Salish are returning to the landscape and it is an honor to bear witness with my camera.
